On behalf of our client, a large international company, we are looking for their new Payroll Specialist to join their headquarters in Copenhagen. The new Payroll Specialist will be part of a diverse and complex organization where they prioritize collaboration across borders and departments as well as an in innovative approach to new challenges and projects.

The payroll team you will join consists of a handful of experienced colleagues who will make sure that you feel welcome and receive a proper onboarding. We are looking for a team player who works well in a relatively big team but also someone with enough experience to challenge status quo and can deliver constructive criticism when implementing and optimizing different systems and processes.

The new Payroll Specialist will help ensure that relevant employee data inputs are registered correctly as well as securing timely submission of monthly and yearly internal controls. Your priority will be focusing on white collar employees; however, you will also assist on blue collar workers.

Furthermore, the new Payroll Specialist will be taking on the following tasks:

  • Ensuring the aftermath of the payroll run such as delivering finance files, reporting and audit controls
  • Monthly payroll reconciliation and new month preparation
  • Cooperation with the colleagues in the People Function to support employee/manager queries
  • Continuous contact with partners, pension providers and e-income
  • Participate in identifying improvement opportunities in regional processes
  • Participate in system and process upgrades

The ideal candidate has several years of experience within a payroll function from a complex organization. It is also an advantage (not a requirement) that the candidate has broader experience with HR operations as well as an outsourced payroll model. Furthermore, a good understanding of financial aspects related to payroll as well as knowledge of IT systems related to payroll is also expected. Additionally, knowledge of Danish payroll laws is a requirement.
